Legacy Library

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 September 2026

Legacy Library ("we", "us") provides a mobile application for recording and sharing personal stories, messages and keepsakes with people you choose. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do not do with it.

Information we collect

How we use it

We use your information to operate the app: to create and secure your account, to store and deliver the content you create to the people you have chosen, to send you service messages such as verification codes and notifications you have asked for, and to diagnose and fix problems.

Mobile information and text messages

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Mobile information is used only to deliver the messages you have requested, and is disclosed only to the messaging provider that transmits them on our behalf.

If you provide a mobile number, we may send you one-time verification codes and account notifications by SMS. These messages are sent only in response to an action you take in the app. Message frequency varies and depends on your use of the app. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to stop receiving messages at any time. Opting out of text messages does not delete your account, and you can still use the app.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers who make the app work — hosting and database, media storage and delivery, message and email delivery, and error and analytics reporting — and only to the extent they need it to provide that service to us. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.

Content you create is shared with the people you choose to share it with, and with anyone you designate to receive it, on the terms you set inside the app.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety or rights of our users.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we begin deleting your information after a short grace period during which the deletion can be cancelled. Verification codes are short-lived and are stored only in hashed form.

Security

Access to your content is enforced on our servers, not only in the app. Verification codes are never stored in readable form. We use encrypted connections for data in transit.

Your choices

You can review and update your account information in the app, opt out of text messages by replying STOP, and request deletion of your account. To make a privacy request, contact us at the address below.

Children

Legacy Library is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app.
